Commercial Plaza and Business Park
Palm Coast, Florida
Project
Branding, Strategy, and Identity System
Problem
Long-standing commercial and office plaza in need of logo and identity system to provide a cohesive atmosphere for the existing (and future) community of businesses.
Solution
Take inventory of all existing touch points at the plaza as a whole and provide uniformity when it comes to property signage and colors, address markings, and social media presence.
The old adage that “many hands make light work” is true in most cases, but not when it comes to branding and corporate strategy. Woodland Commons is an established commercial plaza, but it had little to no recognizable identity. The leasing corporation was in dire need of a logo, color scheme, and identity system to provide a cohesive atmosphere for the existing (and future) businesses located therein.
Without a clear and concise branding strategy, it is difficult to maintain consistency over a multiplicity of projects. Before we began, the situation at Woodland Commons was a hodgepodge of different styles, colors, and typefaces used throughout the property. Our strategy established simple guidelines, graphic styles, type palettes, and created clean end user personas to ensure ease-of-use for years to come.
In phase one, a logo and style guide was designed and produced, then a hero video was added for the website. Now in phase two, we have turned our attention to modifying and updating all signage pertaining to the business park and facility.
This is an on-going project. Woodland Commons is in the process of façade renovation and a new warehousing expansion behind the storefront property. Our newly established guidelines and flexible branding strategy will smooth the way going forward.
